Sirs

I live in the Vale of Glamorgan which operates a co mingling recycling system. This system has worked well for some years & I would not want the task  of recycling to be made any more arduous by having to sort  our rubbish even more.

At present in my kitchen I have  3 bins :

a food waste bin, a recyclable material bin & a refuse bin.

When they are full these are then transferred to 2 other bins plus a black bag into the garage, where our garden waste is also stored. If we had to sort out recyclable material we would need another bin in the kitchen & an other one in the garage.

This would take up yet more space & make my kitchen more to difficult to navigate trying to get around all these bins. Neither would I want big wheely bins taking up valuable space in my garage or in front of my house or on my patio at the rear.

Surely this matter can be left up to individual councils to decide in conjunction with their residents.

Valuable Funds could then be spent on more important issues.

In short please leave our system as it is.

Thank you

John Matheson
